Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine
Practice What You Preach.
Kara Haines Flint
I am a world traveler who fell in love with Acupuncture while living and volunteering in Costa Rica. After experiencing what this medicine could do, I decided to learn how to provide the same "magical" effects to others.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, a Master's of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine, and my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science, San Diego.
Eventually, I packed my bags and went to sea, working as an acupuncturist and herbalist on cruise ships for nearly two years. Finally, after many adventures, I planted roots in Brevard and opened my private practice. I have also taught as a professor at the Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville and Brevard College.
As a general practitioner, I enjoy treating various conditions (pain, digestion, anxiety, and more). Once I became blessed with my own family, my general practice expanded to a Family Practice. My personal experience with pregnancy and motherhood awakened my passion for working with other moms or moms-to-be along their journey.
I am grateful to be part of this beautiful medical field that has changed lives for thousands of years. I am licensed in North Carolina (NCALB) and Nationally Board-Certified in Acupuncture and Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Education and growth are essential to me. If there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am happy to provide you with reassurance and information. If Acupuncture is right for you, we can design a treatment plan together that works best for your unique individuality.
I look forward to meeting you!
